Strengthen Your Passion for Truth

In this episode of At the Intersection with Doug Newton we learned that rules for presenting evidence in a court case originate from and must be governed by an unbiased and unfailing passion for truth as described in the famous courtroom oath: Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God? The exercises in this Crosswalk guide will help you practice staying more alert to the breadth of “truth-telling” and “truth-seeking” that justice requires. You will find that there are two specific traits you can work on and improve that will help you live out this passion for truth.

I've spent years developing a program called "Ways to Improve Your Character...and Everything Else" made up of modules that focus on each of twelve fundamental character traits individually. You can learn about that program by clicking on the program title above. Or you can jump straight to learning about the individual modules for diligence and honesty by scrolling down the page and checking out the explanatory videos for each.
One of the greatest gifts you can give to other people is to be diligent. They're counting on you to come through on your promises and responsibilities. When you don't, they get left hanging. Imagine how much more positive impact you'll have when you become more diligent. I've got a bunch of exercises for you that will help.
What's everyone's biggest worry when it comes to trusting other people? "Can I believe what they tell me? Are they really who I think they are?" The more honest you are, the more people can trust you. The more they trust you, the healthier your relationships. The healthier your relationships, the more true contentment you'll experience. I'm going to teach you how to be honest and how not to be afraid of it.
